Tropicana Atlantic City Unveils New Dining And Entertainment As Summer Approaches

Over the course of 2015 and 2016, the Tropicana Atlantic City pumped some $90 million into upgrading its property. Now the New Jersey casino is ready to show off its latest improvements.

Just in time for the hopping 2017 summer season in Atlantic City, the property is preparing to showcase several new restaurants and gaming options. Most of them will be ready to go by Memorial Day weekend.

According to a press release from Tropicana Atlantic City, the $90 million investment over the past couple years “has reinvented the entire property making it the ultimate east coast resort destination.”

Last year the property made significant improvements to the structure of the casino and hotel. It added a new entrance on Pacific Avenue (which has a Monopoly deed cost of $300), a new spa (the Luxe Salon) located just inside the new Pacific Avenue entrance, and renovated all 500 Havana Tower guest rooms.

This year’s changes are less drastic, but really add to the overall guest experience. The property’s dining and entertainment options are getting a massive upgrade, as is the Tropicana’s poker room.

“Every summer we look for more ways to enhance our property and the overall guest experience,” said Steve Callender, general manager of Tropicana Atlantic City. “By bringing back some of our favorites and introducing our new and innovative amenities, this summer is sure to be one of Tropicana’s best.”

New poker room at Tropicana AC

The Tropicana Atlantic City was never known as poker destination. But the casino does boast one of the larger poker rooms in the city.

Visitors to the casino this summer will notice Tropicana’s Poker Club has a new location. It’s being moved to a newly renovated area behind the redesigned and expanded Boogie Nights dance club.

The casino will move all 22 of its poker tables to the new space.

New and improved dining options

This year, Tropicana AC is adding several new eateries and renovating and redesigning several existing dining options, including the Fiesta Buffet.

Per the press release:

Three new restaurants from Chef Jose Garces

Olón, Bar Olón and Okatshe feature impeccably designed spaces with unique environments that transport guests to a Japanese streetscape, seafront coastal town or beachside beer bar. At Olón, every seat has sweeping ocean and boardwalk views.

On the perfect summer day, seating is available outside on the deck overlooking the beach. Now open.

New Seaside Cafe

Our newly renovated Seaside Cafe is in a brand new location in the Marketplace offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night menus. This a’ la carte restaurant offers seating outside on the boardwalk, just steps away from the sand and ocean breeze.

Completed by Memorial Day weekend.

New Fiesta Buffet

The Fiesta Buffet is being fully renovated with new flooring, wall treatments, a new entrance and more. Fiesta Buffet will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Completed by Memorial Day weekend.

A summer full of entertainment at the NJ casino

In addition to weekly fireworks displays and special events like Seafood Week, Tropicana will also host some of the biggest names in music and entertainment throughout the summer. Headliners will range from Smokey Robinson to George Thorogood to comedian Ron White.

Additionally, as noted above, the property has given the Boogie Nights dance club a facelift. Improvements include a larger dance floor, a new bar, bottle service, new ’70s and ’80s-themed booths, and merchandise.
